What is a Progressive Web App?
A Progressive Web App (PWA) combines the strengths of a website with those of a native app:
- Quick access from an app icon on your home screen or desktop
- Its own window with no address bar or tabs, for focused work
- Briefly readable offline: pages you opened in the last five minutes stay readable if your connection drops for a moment
- Automatic updates with no manual installation
- Cross-platform: runs on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android
Using it across your team
Your colleagues install Librario themselves with two clicks in the browser. IT doesn’t need to roll out any software. Updates arrive automatically, so everyone in the team always works with the latest version of Librario, whether on a desktop PC, laptop or smartphone.
The PWA runs in the browser your IT has already approved. Nothing else gets installed on the devices.
Limitations
Without an internet connection, Librario only shows pages you opened in the last five minutes. Searching, editing and opening PDFs need a connection.
