Task notifications to a shared mailbox

Some teams coordinate their work through a shared mailbox (e.g. library@…) rather than personal addresses. Until now Librario always assigned a newly created task to a single librarian. In a team like that, the notification should reach everyone, so that someone picks it up.

For this there is now a strategy under Automatic assignment in the account settings: “Notify shared email address(es)”. Librario then sends new tasks to one or more shared addresses without assigning them to a single person. If a task sits unattended for too long, a reminder goes to the same address list.

The strategy works for every auto-assignment category, not just user requests. A typical example is the loan request: when a user requests a hard copy, the request lands straight in the team’s shared mailbox.
