It matters for correct text processing and search | Selected from a list of languages (stored as an ISO 639-3 code, e.g. "deu") | | Publication date | The date of publication, optionally as a year or a year and month only | YYYY, YYYY-MM or YYYY-MM-DD (e.g. 2024, 2024-03 or 2024-03-15) | | Publication type | The basic kind of publication. It decides which other fields are available | Choice, see [Publication types](/en/docs/bibliothekswesen/publikationstypen) | ### People and organisations involved | Field | Description | Format | | ------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Authors | One or more people who wrote the content | Type a name; Librario suggests existing people and creates new ones | | Editors | One or more people who edited the publication | Type a name; Librario suggests existing people and creates new ones | | Organisation | The responsible organisation (e.g. a research institute or a public authority) | Type a name; Librario suggests existing organisations and creates new ones | ### Publication details | Field | Description | Format | | --------- | ----------------------------------------- | -------------------------------- | | Publisher | The name of the publishing house | Text | | Address | The place of publication | Text | | Edition | The number or name of the edition | Text | | Pages | The number of pages or the page range | Text (e.g. "242" or "123-145") | ### Identifiers | Field | Description | Format | | ---------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------- | | ISBN | The International Standard Book Number | ISBN-10 or ISBN-13 | | DOI | The Digital Object Identifier | e.g. 10.1234/abc123 | | ISSN | The International Standard Serial Number for journals | e.g. 2049-3630 | | PubMed ID (PMID) | The identification number in the PubMed database | Numeric | | arXiv ID | The arXiv identifier of a preprint. Librario removes a leading `arXiv:` automatically | e.g. 2103.00020 | | Identifier | Any identifiers or designations. You can add several. For a standard, this is usually its designation, e.g. "DIN 10451:1983-03" | Text (several entries possible) | ### Further bibliographic details | Field | Description | Format | | ------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------ | | Journal | For articles, the name of the journal | Text | | Volume | The volume number | Text | | Number | The issue number of a journal, or the number within a series | Text | | Series | The name of the series the book belongs to | Text | | Parent publication | A link to a parent publication | Selected from existing publications | | Original title | A shared title that groups different publications (e.g. different editions or translations of the same work) | Text; Librario suggests original titles already in use | ### Subject indexing | Field | Description | Format | | ---------- | --------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------- | | Abstract | A summary or description of the content | Markdown | | Keywords | Terms under which this publication should be found | Keywords, separated by semicolons | | Categories | Subject classification for filtering search results | Type a category; Librario suggests existing ones and creates new ones | ### Additional details | Field | Description | Format | | ----- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ | --------- | | URL | A link to the online version of the publication | Valid URL | | Notes | Remarks on the publication, visible to everyone on its detail page | Markdown | ## Special fields for standards Librario also shows these fields when you choose the [publication type](/en/docs/bibliothekswesen/publikationstypen#norm) **Standard**: | Field | Description | Format | | ------------ | ----------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------- | | Status | The current status of the standard | Choice: Active, Withdrawn | | Kind | The kind of standard | Choice: Normal, Draft, Amendment, Other | | Predecessors | Earlier versions of this standard | Text (several standard designations possible) | | Successors | Later versions of this standard | Text (several standard designations possible) |
