# API v3 now authenticates only with OAuth 2.1

API scripts used to need your Librario password. API v3 now authenticates exclusively with OAuth 2.1 bearer tokens: access is individually authorized, limited by scopes, and revocable at any time. HTTP Basic auth and cookie login are removed from v3; API v2 is unchanged.
