# Original title

Publications now have an **Original title** field.

The original title (in library terms: uniform title) is the title that ties together several editions of a publication.

One use is **grouping different editions** of the same publication.
The original title is the basis for pointing to newer editions later.

Another use is **grouping the different language editions** of the same work.
That makes it easier for users to find other language editions.
